The Guide Dogs for the Blind (Guide Dogs) association are a charity founded in 1934. Guide Dogs provides help to thousands of blind and partially sighted people across the UK through the provision of guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services. They also campaign for the rights of those with visual impairments and invest in eye disease research.
The challenge to Red Bean
We were challenged to breathe life into the staff break out room and provide a gourmet coffee, lunch and snacks service, for the employees, trustees, executives and volunteers of the Guide Dogs, at their head office in Burghfield, near Reading. The association were very mindful not to lose the accessibility to all staff of the break out room and for the offering to appeal to all visitors to the centre, as well as create a pleasant space for people to take a break.
What do we offer:
In May 2015, we opened the service and have been providing our range of coffees, hot chocolates and teas alongside a varied menu of breakfast and lunch foods, as well as tasty treats since then.
We have held raffles, special events, staff celebrations and hosted summer BBQ’s since opening.
